A TEAM of pickpockets targeted shoppers at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre on Tuesday.

A man and woman stole purses out of at least two women's handbags about 3pm.

One of the pair distracted the victim, while the other grabbed the purse from the bag.

Both thieves are described as in their 30s; the woman was Caucasian, with long black hair, and the man had tanned skin and a crewcut.

Alexandra Hills

* The tyres, pedals and cranks were stolen off a GT BMX bicycle parked at the rear of a house in Ravensworth Place between 9.30pm on Tuesday, August 26, and 7am on Wednesday, August 27.

* A mobile phone was stolen from a handbag at the Alexandra Hills Hotel, Finucane Road, between midnight and 1am on Saturday, August 30.

* An Aprilia RS 250 motorcycle (registration number RZ 001) was stolen from Finucane Road between 3am and 5am on Saturday, August 30.

* Vandals smashed 22 classroom windows at Hilliard State School, Alexandra Circuit, about 2.10am on Sunday, August 31.

Birkdale

* The sports club on the corner of Randall and Bailey roads was broken into at 2am on Friday, August 29. Nothing was stolen.

* A house in Victor Street was broken into between 3pm and 9pm on Tuesday, September 2. A handbag and keys were stolen. The keys were then used to steal a blue Daihatsu Charade (registration number 501 ANB).

Capalaba

* A mobile phone was stolen from a workstation at The Diplomat hairdresser in Capalaba Park Shopping Centre between 9am and 10am on Tuesday, August 26.

* A Ford Falcon ute parked in Jupiter Street was broken into between 4pm on Tuesday, August 26 and 6am on Wednesday, August 27. A GPS unit and two pairs of sunglasses were stolen.

* Vandals smashed a panel at the Capalaba bus interchange, Redland Bay Road, between midnight and 6am on Thursday, August 28.

* A green Mazda 323 hatchback (registration number 509 CCJ) was stolen from Philippa Court between 7.30pm on Saturday, August 30, and 6.30am on Sunday, August 31.

* Vandals graffitied Bayside Lattices and Louvres in Dan Street between 2pm on Saturday, August 30, and 11pm on Sunday, August 31.

Cleveland

* Vandals damaged a sign at a childcare centre in Waterloo Street between 10pm on Friday, August 22, and 3pm on Monday, August 25.

* A house in Sternlight Court was broken into between 4pm and 8.45pm on Saturday, August 30. Jewellery and a mobile phone were stolen.

* A 5HP Mariner outboard motor was stolen from a boat parked outside a residence at Sunny Cove Retirement Village in Middle Street between 10pm on Friday, August 29, and 7am on Saturday, August 30.

* The Cleveland State High School theatre, Russell Street, was broken into between 3.30pm on Friday, August 29, and 7.15am on Monday, September 1. A glockenspiel was stolen. It was found damaged in front of the theatre.

* A house in Masthead Drive was broken into between 9am and 4.50pm on Monday, September 1. Jewellery, keys and liquor were stolen.

Dunwich

* A house in Welsby Street was broken into about 10pm on Saturday, August 30. Nothing was stolen.

Mount Cotton

* An attempted break-in at a house in Sunrise Drive was reported at 2pm on Wednesday, August 27.

Ormiston

* A building site on the corner of Delancey and Shore streets was broken into between 4.30pm on Tuesday, August 26, and 6am on Wednesday, August 27. Keys and power tools were stolen.

Point Lookout

* A house in Cutter Street was broken into between 6.30pm and 10.30pm on Friday, August 29. Cash, a digital camera and a watch were stolen.

Redland Bay

* A house in Keswick Place was broken into between 9.30am on Saturday, August 30, and 11am on Sunday, August 31. A DVD player was damaged and door keys were stolen.

* A house in Ebony Crescent was broken into between 7.20am and 9.30pm on Monday, September 1. A television, laptop computer, alcohol, Xbox console and Xbox games were stolen.

* A house in Forrest Street was broken into between Saturday, August 30, and Tuesday, September 2. A plasma television was stolen.

* A house in Viola Street was broken into between noon and 3.40pm on Tuesday, September 2. A camera and jewellery were stolen.

Russell Island

* A house in Murray Crescent was broken into between Sunday, August 10, and Friday, August 29. Copper piping was stolen from under the house and a water blaster and spray painting unit were stolen from inside.

* Copper piping was also stolen from under a house in Pia Street between April and August this year.

Thorneside

* Three youths were disturbed by a resident as they tried to break into a house in Ferry Road about 3.30am on Thursday, August 28. The youths left in a car.

Victoria Point

* A 72-year-old man disturbed a woman trying to break into his Worthing Road house between 1.15pm and 1.30pm on Thursday, August 28. The woman, of Aboriginal appearance, was trying to get in through a flyscreen on a bedroom window.

* A male broke into St Rita's Catholic Church in Bunker Road about 11.30am on Sunday, August 31. He ran off after being confronted by the minister. Keys were stolen.

Wellington Point

* Vandals threw a rock through a window of a house in Matilda Street about 5pm on Tuesday, August 26.
