 Double surprise for birthday

Double surprise for birthday

19 Nov, 2009 04:37 PM
BOB Swain, a Redland resident of 34 years, celebrated his 60th Birthday with a surprise party on Sunday.

The party was held at a friend's property at Alexandra Hills, but the celebrations turned out to be a double surprise.

Well known local celebrant Tony La Spina turned up dressed as Elvis to renew the wedding vows of Bob and his wife Debbie Swain (nee Ryan) after 34 years of marriage.

About 45 surprised guests enjoyed the Elvis themed ceremony which included wedding vows using words from many of Elvis songs.

Their attendant nieces Leesa and Nicole Joy were dressed in a Hawaiian theme.

A second honeymoon will be at a new resort in Caloundra.
