Five hurt in Wellington Point crash

FIVE people were injured when a car hit a tree at the intersection of Main and Beachcrest Streets, Wellington Point, just after 7.30pm on Monday night.

Paramedics treated the injured at the scene of the single-car accident and all five people were transported to hospital in a stable condition.

Three people were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and two people were transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

One of the five was treated for facial and chest injuries, and one person was treated for a fractured arm.

Thank you to the motorist who heeded the warnings we were giving and just left the area.

To the residents from the point who were worried about missing dinner or leaving their car and walking home. You are a disgrace, rightly or wrongly kids were hurt and the emergency services needed to do their job.
