CELEBRATED musical director John Foreman will present a concert at the Redland Performing Arts Centre, Cleveland, at 7pm on Wednesday, July 8, following a masterclass with local instrumental students.

Foreman has worked with the Channel 9 Christmas Concert, the 2006 Asian Games for which he composed the opening song performed by Jose Carreras, and with Australian Idol.

He will host a masterclass with students at Cleveland High School on the afternoon of the concert and give them the opportunity to perform and to rehearse on a professional basis.

Performing with Foreman will be local violinist Benjamin Mibus; Jal Joshua, the runner-up in the recent series of Australia's Got Talent, singer-songwriter Jaime Wells, and Talia Pallant, who performed at the recent Creative Generation concert.

Registration for the masterclass is $60. Book with Alan Beard on 0408 750 963.

Tickets for the concert are $28 and are available at the Redland Performing Arts Centre box office on 3829 8183 or on www.rpac.com.au
