Future projects:

• Main Roads is undertaking detailed planning and preliminary design for three major road upgrades to benefit Redland City, known collectively as the Redland Corridor Project. These projects will plan for upgrades to three sections of road — Mt Cotton Road, from Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road to Tingalpa Creek; Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, from South Street to Boundary Road; and Mt Cotton and Duncan roads, from Tingalpa Creek to Taylor Road — to four-lane, median-divided standard.

• Ahead of these major projects, Main Roads will undertake intersection and safety improvements along these sections of road over the next two to three years, to target high-priority areas.

• In addition, Main Roads is spending $4.8 million on Safer Roads Sooner projects in Redland City over the next two to three years. These projects are funded in part by revenue from traffic camera fines and include intersection upgrades, installation of traffic lights and road safety improvements on a number of different roads.
