Rosie focuses on film career

ROSIE Brennan hopes that Andy's New Job leads to a great job for her as a film-maker.

A final year film student at Mount Gravatt TAFE, Rosie, of Cleveland, is working on this 15-minute short film with other students, in the hope that successful entry in various film competitions may gain recognition in the industry.

The film, written by Rosie's boyfriend, scriptwriter Jason Spencer, is about a man who is stuck in his life as a data entry worker.

"When he receives messages that another is trapped deep within the company, he has to decide whether to take that risk and help somebody or not," Rosie said.

While Rosie is most interested in the creative side of the film industry, in the meantime she has started her own business, following the corporate path, making DVDs for companies and at weddings.

"Recently we filmed a medical conference. I am working on editing about 12 hours of footage," she said.

"There is also music clips and we are shooting a fashion parade in November."

In the meantime, Rosie is seeking sponsorship for Andy's New Job towards the purchase of equipment and props.
