Summit maps city vision

05 Nov, 2009 03:52 PM
ACT quickly if you want to attend Saturday's Redlands 2030 Summit and help influence the future vision for Redland City.

The summit will be held at the Ormiston College Hall of Fame in Dundas Street West, Ormiston, from noon to 4.30pm on Saturday, November 7. Bookings are essential; phone 3829 8563 today.

After more than eight months of consultation, feedback and discussion, the plan, which will set the direction for the Redlands for the next 20 years, is now in draft form.

The summit will summarise feedback and host one last discussion on the plan, before the final draft is presented to the council for adoption early in the new year.

The new community plan will include: a vision for what our community aspires to be; key goals and indicators to inform the council's corporate planning and other policies, and grounds on which the community and other partners can base future endeavours.

The draft plan is on display until tomorrow at the Cleveland and Capalaba Customer Service Centres, mainland, mobile and islands libraries, and online at www.redlands2030.com.au
