Survey sent to candidates

13 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM

A SURVEY to gauge opinions on key local issues has been sent to all known candidates running in the upcoming election.

It has also been sent to all councillors who are re-contesting seats and the mayor.

Action group Concerned Redlands Residents Association designed the survey.

Returning officer Christine Carroll said she hoped all the surveys sent out so far would be returned to her by February 24.

Answers from the survey will be posted "verbatim" on the CRRA website.

The survey was posted to candidates on Thursday, February 9 and results are expected to be made public by March 14.

One only has to look at the CRAA website to discover that this organisation is simply a front for the removal of the current Mayor and council To quote their own site..'Another 4 years of this Council will result in social and economic disaster for our City. Join us in our fight to elect a fiscally and socially responsible Council"...Any survey/questions they ask are likely to be skewed to give the response they want,,My advice to any councillor or prospective councillor that recieves this survey...Tear it up and throw it in the bin!!!

Excellent , awaiting the questions and answers!! but more importantly waiting for the non answers and to see those who don't think the community needs/deserves answers from them ??? this then will actually speak volumns!!!!

Why did the concerned group not post the survey on their Face book site? so all can see, as they are a pressure group with leanings to support Business and dvelopers interests under the Banner of Residents, one must question the motives behind the questions, I would be surprised if any candidates actuially reply as the asnswers will be used against them . It was asked of the BB to request each candidate to write a 500 word list of promises and that the BB would publish them for each division, that way there are no pre designed list of questions and no manipulation, so come on BB do it.

Wouldn,t it be funny if the current mayor and coucillors answered the crra survey correctly . What would the crra do then seeing they are hell bent on removing them.

It surprises me that CRRA had the time to write this questionaire - as they have not found the time to apologise for the lies they used in a flyer against me and a video which has been everyewhere. This group is happy to also take a photo without permission from my web site for their video. It is on record that I did not support the introduction of tip fees, and have an long record as local Councillor supporting my people in their best interests, faithfully and honestly. Am still waiting for someone in CRA with honesty to step up to the plate. www.helenmurray.com.au for Div 10

Needless to say - I will be saying everything I want to say on my own web site. Sorry CRRA ... you need to come clean.
