 Who stole Kermit, the parrot?

Who stole Kermit, the parrot?

09 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
POLICE are keeping an eye out for a bird burglar after an exotic parrot, named Kermit, was stolen from a home in Babamande Street, Redland Bay on Tuesday morning.

But owner Keira Wilkie said thieves are in for a surprise as eight-year-old Kermit, a South Asian Alexandria parrot, can talk and clucks like a chicken when he's angry.

"He loves to talk and when he's angry will say 'Alfie', the name of my cat, and cluck," Ms Wilkie said.

"Anyone who makes him angry will have a time listening to him."

Kermit is about 30cm from head to toe, predominantly green, with blue tail and a red beak, shoulders and red around his neck.

Anyone with information can contact Redland Bay Police on 3829 4111.
