THORNLANDS brothers Kyle and Jarod Borresen may spend a bit of time out of school travelling with their sport, but at least they know how to spell it: BMX.
Kyle has just returned from the BMX Queensland State Titles at Ashmore, where he was named State Champion for 13 years boys.
A keen rider with Redlands BMX Club, Kyle has travelled all over Australia to compete in World, National, State and Zone Championships in the past year.
He was a quarter finalist in the World Championships in Adelaide, a finalist in the National Championships in Perth, currently holds the title of State Champion in three states, as well as being the Queensland Southern Zone Champion for 13 boys 2009.
This is Kyle’s fifth year of racing BMX and he spends almost every weekend travelling around to various open days from the Gold Coast up as far as Mackay.
Kyle was spurred on by brother Jarod, who also raced in the BMX State Titles in the 10 boys’ category and ended up crashing in the final to receive the title of 8Q.
