 Rain robs Tigers teams again

Rain robs Tigers teams again

02 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
RAIN intervened again to rob Redland Tigers cricket teams of any victories in their two day games due to finish last Saturday.

Redland teams were in good positions after day one of the games the previous Saturday, but the weather intervened and no play was possible at all last weekend.

It was a big disappointment for the Tigers as they were hoping to pick up some much needed points to enable them to make the finals.

Let's hope the rain stays away this weekend and Tigers are able to play against Bayside rivals Wynnum Manly.

As an extra incentive, all teams are competing for the Gaskell Cup which has been donated by former Redlands and Wynnum player Mark Gaskell from Gabba Sports.

In support of the McGrath Foundation, Redlands Tigers will turn pink for a day.

The first day of the match against Beenleigh/Logan on February 18 will be dedicated to raising funds for this great cancer aid cause.

You can donate via the official Pink Stumps Day webpage, or come on down to the Tigers Cricket Club at Birkdale Road, Wellington Point, on the day and make a donation while enjoying the local hospitality and taking in some great cricket.
