REDLANDS Tigers players put in some good individual performances but things did not go the teams' way at opening matches of the new grade cricket season last weekend.
This season Tigers have entered six men's teams in the Queensland XXXX Gold club competition, an under 19 team in the One Day and Twenty/20 competition, an under 17 team in the Taverner's competition and for the first time a second grade women's team.
The club has once again entered junior teams in the under 16 Shane Watson Cup comp, the under 15 Ray Weier Cup and the under 15 girls Melissa Bulow Cup.
Last weekend first and second grade played a two day game (Saturday and Sunday) whiet grades three to six played One Dayers.
The Tigers won one out of the six games played against a strong University Club with Third Grade leading the way for the Tigers.
Tigers players gave some good performances with Craig Cullen scoring his maiden century in First HOWZAT!
Grade (103 not out) and First Grade skipper Ryan Le Loux taking seven wickets.
Second Grade skipper Brendon Smith also added another five wickets to his list of achievements.
Following the new format for grade cricket all grades will be playing One Dayers this weekend and are looking forward to some better results.

Fifth Grade: Redlands 102 (W. Syed 44) lost to University 5/103
Sixth Grade: Redlands 7/184 ( Stephenson 43, McAuliffe 37) lost to University 8/185 (Gouws 3/26, S. Lloyd 2/52).
