 Coochie teams excel in champs

Coochie teams excel in champs

25 Feb, 2010 03:15 PM
SIX First Aid teams from the Coochiemudlo Island Surf Life Saving Club took part in the Queensland Surf Rescue Championships on the Sunshine Coast's Dicky Beach at the weekend.

The teams had to administer First Aid to several patients and contact ambulance within a set time.

The pace was frantic but the treatment each team provided was fabulous.

Each team consists of two members who have undergone extensive First Aid training.

One team is automatically through to the Australian titles, with three other teams as reserves.

The results were:

Open: Second place Alex Terrill and Sophie Horsfall.

Under 19s: Sixth place Nicola Horsfall and Jessica Fernandes; ninth place Jason Parker and William Rubie.
