They competed against more than 500 American and Canadian athletes competing in a range of sanctioned Olympic sports, including rope skipping, basketball, athletics and baseball.

The Junior Olympics divides skipping into single rope and double dutch, both judged on speed, power and freestyle skill, including gymnastic movements and a variety of tricks choreographed to music.

Coach Carolyn Barker said she was "so proud" of her winning team.

"Current Queensland and Australian Champion, Madeleine Barker took out the 11-12 girls Junior Olympic title," she said.

"She broke two Junior Olympic records and won gold in the one minute speed and one minute double unders, when the rope is spun twice for each jump.

"This is her second Junior Olympic title."

Younger sister Lilly Barker also was crowned Junior Olympic champion for the under nine girls division, winning a gold medal in the one minute speed and the individual freestyle.

Other Cleveland Air Magic achievements included Tylah Niha, 10, winning gold in the freestyle routine and Jaymee Gilbert, 9, placing second in the freestyle and winning a bronze in double unders.

Teammates Kaitlyn Brown and Claire Zysvelt finished 4th and 5th respectively in the 11-12 open girls division, while Madeleine Barker and Tylah Niha won overall gold in the 11-12 open division.

Claire Zysvelt and Kaitlyn Brown won an overall bronze and Lilly Barker and Jaymee Gilbert won silver in 9-10 open division. Madeleine, Tylah, Kaitlyn and Claire won gold in the 11-12 open pentathlon double dutch event.
