ROCK IT: Alan Buchan will present stagecraft workshops for musicians as part of Cleveland BUZZ on June 16.
Cleveland BUZZ organisers and fRETfEST director Alan Buchan will present a free professional development workshop for musicians wanting to improve their stagecraft skills and take their career to the next level on Saturday, June 16.
The workshop will take place in the auditorium of the Redland Performing Arts Centre, Middle Street, Cleveland, from 10am to noon.
Participants will also have an opportunity to practise their newly learned skills on the day performing in Bloomfield Street venues at the BUZZ from 12.30pm.
Musicians will learn about stagecraft, how to become a better performer and understand your audience, learn stage techniques, venue etiquette, microphone technique, guitar playing techniques and song selection choices.
Before setting up fRETfEST, Alan was the songwriter and lead guitarist in a rock-band Next Elected, which won the Brisbane Battle of the Bands.
