Cleveland seniors

Combined Probus Club
THE club meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Bowls Club, Victoria Point 9am for a 9.30am start. The next meeting on July 26 will have a guest speaker, Lions Hearing Dogs Queensland coordinator Lance Roberts. Wellington Point seniors
THE AGM will be held on July 31 at 12.40pm and members are asked to attend if possible. A game of bowls will be played after the AGM. This club always welcomes new members, so why not try social indoor bowls. If you have not played before, help is on hand and you will be made to feel at ease. Combined Probus Capalaba
THIS club, with both male and female members, meets on the first Tuesday of the month, at the Redlands Sporting Club, Anson Road Wellington Point.
It is a progressive young club with a membership of newly retired and semi-retired people. We take part in various activities such as day outings, walking groups and evening dining, card nights, lunches, barbecues, morning teas, and various other activities.
The guest speaker for August will be from Angel Flight. The July outing will be a guided tour of Brisbane Airport. In early August a trip to the Gold Coast has been organised, to join members of Ballarat's Begonia City Probus Club. On August 21 we visit Twin Towns Services Club to see Back to the Tivoli.

Redland Bay Seniors
THE club has activities for all the over 50s: parchment cards, 500 cards, bingo, and square/line dancing and computer classes on Mondays and indoor bowling on Mondays and Wednesday from noon to3.30pm. All welcome. For more information, phone Laurie on 3829 1435 or Betty 3341 9333.
RSL Joint Venture
JOINT Venture is 25 years old this year and is having a party to celebrate on Monday, August 6 at Redlands RSL in the newly refurbished downstairs room. Cost to members is $5 and you can book and pay at Wednesday meetings. Joint Venture meets every Wednesday morning at the Catholic Parish Hall, Passage Street Cleveland to play indoor bowls, bingo and cards. We also have various functions and bus trips throughout the year. Cost is $2 entry per week, which includes morning tea, and the yearly fee is $5. Band at Seniors Week
REDLAND City Concert Band will once again perform great selections of music to celebrate Seniors week in the Redlands. Come to the Seniors Week Concert on August 26 at the Cleveland Assembly Hall, Smith Street, Cleveland. Doors will open at 1.30pm. There is plenty of parking and the venue is wheelchair friendly.
