Redland trio on Queen's list

Three Redlanders have been honoured for services to the community with Medals of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the Queen's Birthday 2012 Honours list.

Vyvyan Dance, a plumber from Redland Bay, was awarded the OAM for services to policing, via his work as civilian volunteer in Blue Light youth clubs, Police Citizens Youth Clubs and the Volunteers in Policing Program.

Nurse unit manager Dianne Jones, of Cleveland, was awarded her medal for gastroenterology, particularly endoscopy.

Noel Gillard, from Redland Bay, a former Queensland Ambulance Service Commissioner, received his OAM for his vital roles in emergency management and ambulance service organisations.
