Police have charged two 21-year-old men after an armed robbery at a bottleshop on Colburn Avenue, Victoria Point on Thursday.
Both men, one from Lamb Island and the other from Russell Island, were charged on Friday and appeared in Cleveland Magistrates on Saturday.
Bail was refused and they were remanded in custody to reappear in Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday.
A 41-year-old female Colburn Avenue bottleshop keeper called police on Thursday at 6.35pm after being confronted by two men, one armed with a knife.
The robbers made off with cash from the till and a quantity of alcohol.
