Mirusia still calls Redlands home

OPERA singer Mirusia Louwerse, will return to the Redlands to launch her first solo Australian east coast tour.

Aptly named Home, the tour will start at Redland Performing Arts Centre in Cleveland on Thursday, July 5.

Mirusia’s family still lives at Birkdale.

For the past five years, Mirusia has lived in Europe and travelled the world as violin maestro Andre Rieu’s soprano.

Her special guest for the tour is Sam Moran.

After the RPAC concert, Mirusia will perform at the Powerhouse

Theatre in Brisbane on July 7, before heading to Melbourne and finishing at the Sydney Opera House.

Songs will include some old favourites like Ave Maria and I Still Call Australia Home as well as some of her own compositions including Forever Shine.

“There’s no place like home, and that is why I am so excited to be returning home after five years

touring around the world with Andre Rieu, to perform for you all back at my home, Australia,” Mirusia said.
