A GRANT from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund has allowed Wellington Point Bowls Club to purchase a new Queen Bonner mower for the upkeep of its greens.
Bowls club board chairman John Stollznow thanked those who supported the club's application, including Federal Member for Bowman Andrew Laming, Cleveland MP Mark Robinson, Redland Division 1 Councillor Wendy Boglary, Peter Tietzel from Bank of Queensland Birkdale and Alan Todd of Redlands College.
Greenskeeper Ian Boge said the club already had top class greens but the new mower would make them even better.
