THE front gate will swing open to the public at Hilliard State School on Saturday, August 4, for the long awaited annual festival.
From 11am to 6pm the festival will be packed with entertainment including displays from Hilliard's own dance troupes, the school choir, competitions and the wildest rides to scream on.
Festival coordinator Jane McKay said stalls would entertain families such as adopt a bear, lob-a-choc, spin the wheel and the chance to win a hamper.
"Some brave volunteers will also be waiting in anticipation to see which of them will be slimed," she said.
"Come and have some fun to help us reach our (fundraising) target of $20,012 in 2012."
She said to finish the festival a fireworks display would start at 5.45pm.
Hilliard State School is located on the corner of Hanover Drive and Alexandra Circuit, Alexandra Hills.
