LAST Saturday afternoon, the Bayside Bombers Over 38s Masters, sponsored by Rathbone Engineering, hosted Sandgate Hawks at home in an AFL game that was to decide the team which will continue to challenge at the top of the league table.
The Hawks opened strongly but the Bombers back line stood strong, with captain Russell Crowe, Stephen Hazel and John Fuller, competing fiercely.
Jason March scored the goal of the day, after receiving a handball in traffic from John Gibson out of a pack 60 emeres from home on the run.
Bombers ran out worthy victors by 51 points to continue their unbeaten run of victories to seven wins in a row.
After the game, the Bombers celebrated their win, while also paying tribute to Aaron Garrard, playing his last game for the Bombers.
