THE Redlands United Red Devils are looking to continue a big week, as they play host this weekend to Southside compatriots, Souths United in Round 22 of the Brisbane Veto League.
The Red Devils, second on the competition ladder just four points behind leaders Wolves FC, are beaming with confidence after last Saturday's solid 4-0 victory over Taringa Rovers and Tuesday night's 5-2 win over Top 6 contenders Brisbane City.
Souths are yet to find form, but this season has shown that any side is capable of producing an upset on the day.
Redlands want to continue their winning form with attacking big guns of Fyfe, Barbarouses, Meredith, Lee, Mojica, and SaoJose looking to add to their tally of goals.
With both the Red Devil Veto League and Veto Reserve sides in top form and playing quality football, do yourself a favour and get to the Cleveland Showgrounds on Saturday to cheer on the Red Devils. The Veto League kicks off at 6pm and the Reserves at 3.45pm.
Last Saturday evening, the Redlands United Red Devils took all three competition points from a dogged Taringa side.
With 32 minutes gone, Barbarouses latched onto a Michael Lee pass to get around the Taringa defence and calmly slot the ball home.
The second half continued where the first half left off and in a 10 minute period the Red Devils made the scoreline 4-0. Meredith picked up a double in the space of minutes.
Last Tuesday night, The Red Devils overcame a determined Brisbane City 5-2 thanks to three goals to Graham Fyfe and singles to George Barbarouses and Rhys Meredith.
