THE club will hold its next meeting at Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club on Tuesday, August 23 at 9am for 9.30am start. Redlands RSL Sub Branch
THE quarterly meeting of the Redlands RSL Sub BranRedlands RSL Sub Branchch will be held on Sunday, August 26 downstairs in the Gallipoli Room at 10am. If you require transport, phone club reception. The sub branch is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year with a luncheon on Sunday, September 30. League members and partners/carers, war widows and Legacy ladies are eligible to attend. The cost to eligible guests is $25 and must be paid when booking. To book, contact reception. National Seniors Victoria Pt
THE next meeting on Monday, August 20, at the Baptist Church Hall, Barcrest Drive will include the AGM. An adviser on senior issues from Slater and Gordon will talk and take questions. Morning tea is at 9.30am, and all Redland seniors are welcome to attend. Entry is $3. A trip sheet will be available and bookings for the September 17 trip will be open. THE next meeting of Cleveland National Seniors is on Friday, August 17 in the Gallipoli Room at the RSL. Doors open at 9.15am for 9.45am start for the general meeting. Cost of entry is $3. U3A news
THE U3A Life in Australia group meets at the Donald Simpson Centre, Cleveland, on Monday, August 13 with guest speaker Michael Fiechtner, scientist with the Queensland State Government, who will speak on Queensland Water. The cost is $4 including morning tea. Tickets for the U3A breakfast on August 20 are on sale at Life in Australia or from the office for $15. The annual U3A Choir concert is on Saturday, August 18 at 2pm in The Star of the Sea Parish Centre, Passage Street, Cleveland. Admission is $8. This year we have supporting artists Four Trombonists from the Brisbane Big Band. The coffee club meets at 9.30am on Saturday, August 11 at the RDCOTA building, Wynyard Street, Cleveland. The U3A chess club is looking for new members. It meets on Mondays and Fridays from 10am-noon in the Cleveland Library. If interested, call the office.
