Wendys at Victoria Point Shopping Centre was named Redland Retailer of the Year in The Commonwealth Bank 2012 Redland Retail Awards on Saturday night.
Winners of the award's 24 categories were announced at the Sheldon Event Centre, before a crowd of 525 guests and the evening's host, Winter Olympics gold medallist speed skater Steven Bradbury.
It was the fourth time Wendys won its category but the first time the treat shop had won the supreme title of Redland Retailer of the Year.
Owner Pauline Holmes, and some of her staff, excitedly accepted the award and acknowledged the excellent customer service provided at the store.
"I am absolutely thrilled to win the awards. It's such an honour to win with so many retailers in the Redlands," she said.
"Customer service has been a passion of mine.
"We try to make the day for every customer and give them a 'wow' experience," Pauline said.
The awards, in their ninth year, are organised by the Redland Retail Awards Committee under the auspices of the Redland City Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber president Garry Hargrave, who is also chairperson of Redlands Retail Awards Committee, said he hoped the contest would drive a culture of success within the Redland business community.
Winner of the Excellence in Customer Service went to Cameron Harley of Supershots Photographics at Capalaba Park Shopping Centre.
