THE Redland Bombers have secured fourth place on the NEAFL Northern Conference ladder with a 41 point victory against Labrador on the Gold Coast last Saturday.
The win grants the Bombers hosting rights for the elimination final in two weeks time and secures the club its third finals appearance in its 13 year State League history.
Losing the toss and kicking into a strong breeze last weekend, the Bombers hit the ground running with precise skill execution and players doing their roles and working to space, producing some of the club's best football of the season.
Scott Clouston and Phil Carse shared best afield honours and both are peaking at the pointy end of the season.
Tom Salter, Blake Passfield, Matt Thomson, and Brad Rees won plenty of the ball and Blake Grewar returned to his early season form.
Redland 17.13.115 ran out winners over Labrador 11.8.74.
The win was a fine tonic for coach Seton-Lonsdale who had been reappointed as senior coach for 2013 during the week.
In the final round of the season, the Bombers head to Palmerston in Darwin to take on the all conquering NT Thunder on Saturday night.
The Reserves coming off back to back wins play Southport at Fankhauser Reserve on Sunday commencing at noon.
