A 20-year-old Birkdale man has been charged with drink-driving following a collision between a car and a bus at Beenleigh on Saturday morning.
Twenty-three tourists were injured when the bus taking them for a day out at a Gold Coast theme park tipped onto its side after it was involved in a collision with a car.
A police spokesman said it appeared the crash happened during a lane changing manoeuvre on the Pacific Motorway (M1), southbound, just after 11am.
The Birkdale man who was driving the sedan is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 6.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward with information.
