Quartet to present a stunning program

THE acclaimed Australian String Quartet will perform next month at Redland Performing Arts Centre.

ASQ is made up of Kristian Winther and Anne Horton on violin, Stephen King on viola and Rachel Johnston on cello.

They will perform their Sunrise program of chamber music.

The remarkable musicianship of guest artist Paul Dean on clarinet will also be showcased during the performance.

Queensland-born Dean, an internationally acclaimed clarinet soloist, is the artistic director of the Australian NationalAcademy of Music.

In this stunning program, experience Haydn's beautiful Sunrise Quartet, Carl von Weber's Clarinet Quintet, Wilfred Lehmann's theme and variations for clarinet quintet, which was written for Dean, and Bela Bartok's Fourth Quartet.

Sunrise will be performed at Redland Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, September 18, at 7.30pm.
