RESIDENTS and visitors at Nandeebie Centre of Care rolled up for some show excitement last Wednesday, when the Blue Care aged care facility at Alexandra Hills brought an Ekka-themed show to residents and also opened its doors to the public.
Throughout the day, residents and visitors enjoyed free entertainment, jewellery and craft stores, sideshow games, an animal farm, show bags for children and adults, and lots of delicious food, including fairy floss, strawberry icecreams and a sausage sizzle.
Diversional therapist Krista Sheeley expressed gratitude to the day's sponsors and said residents were delighted with a visit from Queensland Fire and Rescue officers who gave children tours of the fire truck and spoke with residents.
